Mark McVeety, President
Mark McVeety is the President at Auditz, LLC. Mr. McVeety has spent his entire career focused on assisting companies in the healthcare services and information technology industries achieve their strategic, operational and corporate objectives. Mr. McVeety is responsible for all operations, technology and software development efforts at Auditz. Mr. McVeety also oversees sales and new product innovation.
Mr. McVeety’s expertise spans healthcare services and information technology, with specific sector focus on revenue cycle management, hospital IT and outsourcing, physician management and staffing, and healthcare facilities. Prior to joining Auditz, Mr. McVeety served as Assistant Vice President at B.C. Ziegler and Company. As a founding member of the Corporate Finance Group, he managed numerous investment banking engagements in the healthcare sector, including merger and acquisition transactions, fairness opinions, and private placements. Mr. McVeety also provided business and management consulting work for healthcare providers and vendors to assist them in evaluating and executing on their business objectives.
Mr. McVeety holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and has a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University.
Marilyn Davis, Vice President of Operations
Marilyn Davis is Vice President of Operations at Auditz, LLC. She has 28 years of experience in patient financial services and her expertise includes management of system conversions, patient access management, recruiting, training, staff development, compliance, and accounts receivable management.
Prior to joining Auditz, Mrs. Davis was Regional Patient Access Director for HCA Healthcare, Southeast Florida division. She was responsible for the daily operation of patient access departments for seven facilities. Mrs. Davis also spent a total of 18 years with Tenet Healthcare, and in her most recent capacity, served as Director of Operations for Tenet’s Atlanta Regional Business Office. Her responsibilities included managing the revenue cycle for medical facilities in six states. Mrs. Davis managed several pilots for system enhancements which included upgrades to the billing systems, credit balance system, contractual/logging system, cash posting system, and electronic document retention system. She also managed 11 complete IT system conversions for the business office and patient access functions. Additionally, Mrs. Davis also served as Business Office Director and Health Information Management Director at Lakeland Medical Center and Regional Business Office Manager at Community Psychiatric Centers in New Orleans.
Sean Smith, Vice President of Information Technology
Sean Smith is Vice President of Information Technology at Auditz, LLC. He has 15 years of experience in software architecture and development with a focus on data rich solutions used in planning and decision support.
Prior to joining Auditz, Mr. Smith was a Software Architect for CareMedic Systems. He was responsible for the design and implementation of numerous solutions that improved healthcare accounts receivables and brought eligibility results to the hospital registrar desk in real-time. Prior to joining CareMedic, Mr. Smith was a Software Architect for Gold Standard Multimedia. He was responsible for the design and implementation of a solution to educate patients on their options during the Medicare Part D deployment. Mr. Smith spent several years as a Systems Analyst with Perot Systems where he implemented solutions to a myriad of business problems across many industries. The solutions he delivered include: automation of evidence of insurability and explanation of benefit processing for an insurance client, a strategic pricing solution for a retail client, an online vehicle rental solution for a transportation client, an online coupon retrieval solution for an advertising firm, and an online payroll processing solution for small businesses.
Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Information Technology from University of Phoenix.
Sandra Hernandez, Director of Transfer DRG Review
Sandra Hernandez is the Director of Transfer DRG Review at Auditz, LLC. She has 26 years of experience in patient financial services and accounts receivable management, including managing system conversions, program development, staff development, training programs and client management.
Mrs. Hernandez worked for 25 years at National Medical Enterprise/Tenet Healthcare as Branch Manager then Regional Manager for the Eastern Syndicated Office System Division which handled accounts receivables, credit balances and underpayment reviews for acute and rehab facilities across seven states. Mrs. Hernandez transferred to Atlanta to open an SOS office in 1994 after the merger of NME and AMI. Mrs. Hernandez worked for Tenet’s Atlanta Regional Business Office as a Market Director for three states. She worked with CFOs, Patient Access Directors, HIM Directors and Business Office Directors to ensure processes were implemented and goals were met. Mrs. Hernandez also worked as the Account Receivable Manager for 16 hospitals at the Atlanta Regional Business Office overseeing all aspects of AR follow-up, including working directly with payers to resolve issues. Mrs. Hernandez has also worked on several implementation teams to oversee and manage new system conversions.

Keith Henthorne, Executive Chairman
Keith Henthorne serves as the Executive Chairman of Auditz, LLC. Having cofounded the company in 2008, Mr. Henthorne has assisted the company in governance and strategy since its inception. Mr. Henthorne brings a wide range of experience to Auditz having founded and successfully operated a number of healthcare companies, run significant corporate functions and hospital groups for Tenet Healthcare, as well as managed a venture capital fund investing in healthcare companies.
Immediately prior to his current role with Auditz, Mr. Henthorne was Senior Vice President, Revenue Integrity for Emdeon. His relationship with Emdeon stemmed from the sale of Chapin Revenue Cycle Management to Emdeon in mid-2010. Mr. Henthorne founded Chapin in 2003, served as its Chairman and guided the business to be recognized as a leader in revenue cycle solutions for providers. Prior to joining the Emdeon team, Mr. Henthorne served as the Chief Investment Officer for Ziegler HealthVest Partners, LLP, a venture capital fund under the umbrella of the Ziegler Companies. HealthVest invested in early to mid-stage healthcare services and IT companies. Mr. Henthorne also founded and was President and CEO of Dermatology Partners, Inc., a Charterhouse Group International backed skincare company that owned and operated dermatology practices in southeastern United States.
The portion of Mr. Henthorne’s career spent in hospital management gave him an in-depth understanding of the provider space. He served in several roles with Tenet Healthcare including Vice President, Strategic Sourcing where he was responsible for all corporate sourcing/procurement and Director of Operations for Tenet’s Florida/Alabama Region, which included 18 hospitals. These roles combined with his early career experience as CEO of facilities/operations, ranging from his first CEO role at 25 of a 75 bed facility to President of Tenet’s Tampa market, provide valuable insight into healthcare providers. His experience as an operator has provided him with insight as to the challenges facing both providers and payers and the vital role technology can play in meeting those challenges.
Mr. Henthorne is a Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a past chairman of the Florida League of Hospitals. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Missouri. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Crisis Center of Hillsborough County.
David Finkel, Board Member
David Finkel’s career as a healthcare CEO initially encompassed responsibilities as a hospital administrator for both not-for-profit and for profit hospitals. He progressed to Vice President, Group VP and Senior VP titles with publicly traded healthcare companies and was Executive VP of Operations with American Medical International. Mr. Finkel then became CEO of Signature Homecare, a national full service home health provider which he eventually sold to a NYSE listed company.
Mr. Finkel has been a partner with a number of start-up health ventures including Chapin Revenue Cycle Management which was sold to Emdeon. He has been a principal with Auditz since its inception.
Mr. Finkel holds a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a BS Degree from Southwest Missouri State University.
Neil Borg, Board Member
Neil Borg is the Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance for B.C. Zeigler and Company. Mr. Borg joined Ziegler in 2006 to help build out its for-profit strategic advisory and principal investing efforts.
Prior to joining Ziegler, Mr. Borg was in the Healthcare Services Investment Banking practices of J.P. Morgan (previously Chase H&Q and Hambrecht & Quist) and Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. While at Hambrecht & Quist, Mr. Borg was a partner in an affiliated venture capital fund, H&Q Serv*s Ventures, focused on early stage healthcare investments on behalf of Hambrecht & Quist and Johnson & Johnson.
Over his career, Mr. Borg has completed over 45 transactions including strategic advisory assignments, public and private equity financings and equity investments principally for emerging growth, middle market companies in the healthcare services and healthcare information technology sectors. In addition, Mr. Borg currently sits on the Board of Directors of Auditz and Certify Data Systems, Inc.
Mr. Borg earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA Degree in Economics, with a Minor in Philosophy (cum laude), from Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
Alan Weiner, Board Member
Alan Weiner is a Managing Director for Focus Management Group. Mr. Weiner joined Focus in 2010 to work with companies experiencing financial difficulty and to provide bankruptcy-related advisory consulting services.
Prior to joining Focus, Mr. Weiner was Co-Chief Executive Officer for Arthur Rutenberg Homes, the country’s largest franchisor of independently owned and operated building companies. The company has been ranked on Professional Builder magazine’s annual Housing Giants list of the nation’s largest home builders. Prior to joining Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Mr. Weiner served as the Executive Vice President of a private equity-backed dermatology physician practice management company, which acquired and operated practices in eleven locations across three states.
Mr. Weiner began his career at Raymond James and Associates, and spent 15 years as Managing Director of its Investment Banking Department, where he worked with Real Estate and Consumer focused companies, raising public and private capital, as well as providing merger and acquisition advisory services.
Mr. Weiner holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and received his BS with High Honors in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Florida. He currently serves on the Board of the City of Tampa General Employees’ Pension Fund.
Kirk Reid, Board Member
Kirk Reid is the President of Auctus Performance, a healthcare focused growth consulting firm. Mr. Reid recently retired from Juice Tyme, where he served as CEO.
Prior to Juice Tyme, Mr. Reid compiled 30 plus years of significant healthcare experience in sales, business development, marketing and general management. In his career he has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Chamberlin Edmonds, an Emdeon company, the national market share leader in hospital eligibility and enrollment services; Vice President of Sales for Gentiva Health Services, the nation's largest provider of home health and specialty pharmaceutical distribution services. During his tenure with Gentiva, Mr. Reid also served as Vice President of Acquisitions and was the Senior Executive in charge of Gentiva Business Services. Additionally, Mr. Reid was the Executive Vice President for NES Healthcare Services, a national provider of hospital emergency department management services and was the Executive Vice President for Premier Anesthesia, the country's largest provider of hospital anesthesia department management.
Mr. Reid received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Missouri State University and did his post graduate Master's work at St. Mary's of California. Mr. Reid also serves on the boards of The Bevolution Group (previously Juice Tyme, Inc.) and Liquid Compass, and serves on the Executive Advisory Board at Patient Information Logistics. Mr. Reid is a past board member of The Autism Foundation of Georgia and remains actively involved in the foundation’s fund raising initiatives.
